The former Westfield Galleria now hosts clinics, a pharmacy and a school.

Three years after its last department store closed, the former Westfield Galleria is busier than it has been in a decade, though very little of the traffic is shopping.

The mall now houses outpatient clinics, a pharmacy, a community college satellite campus and a food hall. “We have the parking, the transit access and the big open floor plates. It’s a natural fit,” said property manager Tom Ferris.

At least two other regional malls are exploring similar conversions.
